Sport Group Nord-Ost, LLC is a sport marketing and development company. The company’s primary focus is the marketing and promotion of professional cycling teams and events. Currently the company manages Team Nerac Pro Cycling, a UCI registered Continential Team. In addition to the team, the company also manages several events including the Hartford Downtown Criterium, and the Rentschler Field Training Series.
The primary owners of the team are David Werling and Patrick Heidkamp. David is a native of Connecticut and grew up in West Hartford. He attended the University of Connecticut where he obtained a masters degree in accounting. Patrick is originally from Cologne Germany. He moved to the United States and is currently pursuing his PHD from the University of Connecticut. The two founded SGNO in 2003 and seek to promote the sport of cycling within the state of Connecticut.
